Chapter one Learning to Crawl is an introduction to SDK style Windows programming.  Charles Petzolds' famous 'Hello Windows' 'C' program is rewritten in PowerBASIC and analyzed in detail.  This chapter is available to you free for downloading right here.  The zip file contains the complete first chapter in pdf format.

Chapter two Windows Controls 101 introduces a few basic Windows Controls that are commonly used in business applications.  A comparison of SDK and DDT style programming is presented.  This chapter is available to you free for downloading right here.  The zip file contains the complete second chapter in pdf format.

Chapter three Windows Made Easy shows how to create the programs presented in the previous chapter by using a free Visual Designer.  'Autosize' and 'CenterWindow' subroutines are presented and analyzed in detail.  This chapter is available to you free for downloading right here.  The zip file contains the complete third chapter in pdf format.

Chapter four Getting Serious begins a discussion on the details of writing a commercial quality business application for Windows.  'Menus', 'Toolbars', 'Grids' and 'pointers' are some of the topics covered in chapter four.  This chapter is available to you free for downloading right here.  The zip file contains the complete fourth chapter in pdf format.

Chapter five Application Logic continues the discussion that was started in chapter four.  This chapter is still a work in progress, last updated 8/13/06.  This partially completed chapter is now available to you free for downloading right here.  The zip file contains the partially complete fifth chapter in pdf format.
